ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Fals (Bronze, 18x24 mm, 4.34 g, 1 h), uncertain mint, circa AH 29-49 AH / AD 650-670. Two bearded imperial busts facing, wearing crowns with crosses; above, cross between crescent and star. Rev. Large M in center; in left field, N/N; in right field, Π/N; above cross; below Γ and pellet. Goodwin&Gyselen p. 49, 10 var. (without crescent and star on the obverse, but with an uncertain letter above M instead of a cross on the reverse). Leu Web Auction 4 (2018), 1342 var. (same obverse die, but differing reverse). Extremely rare. Light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
